Saint Francis of Assisi once said “preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words.”  We believe wholeheartedly at Grace that our first calling as the church is to be the Good News of Jesus Christ in the way we live and the way we serve in our neighborhoods and our communities.  As is often said, people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.  We believe that proclamation of the message of Jesus Christ must always go hand in hand with serving others the way Jesus did.

While we do host serving events throughout the year at Grace (Burlington Township Clean Up Day, 5th Sunday serving days, Black Friday free coffee giveaway, totally free car washes), our core philosophy is that we want to come alongside what is already happening in our community and help to support and strengthen those community service agencies that are already doing great work.  We therefore have worked hard to form partnerships with the following community service organizations, and encourage you to find your place in God’s story by serving where you are called:

Burlington Township Food Pantry

Hope Mobile

The Sisterhood of Burlington

Urban Promise

Seeds of Hope

Bridge of Hope

Burlington Township Clean Up Day

In addition to these organizations, there are many other worthy groups in our community that are doing great work.  The goal is to serve according to your gifts and passions, and to serve with a humble heart and the mind and attitude of Christ (Philippians 2).  As Mother Teresa said, “Small things done with great love can change the world.”
